  • Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh to become India's first woman fighter pilot to fly Rafale.
  • Hyderabad Airport (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) granted Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) by Airport Council International (ACI) for Safe Travel.
  • President Ram Nath Kovind conferred National Service Scheme Awards to 42 awardees for 2018-19. The award is conferred every year by Department of Youth Affairs.


INTERNATIONAL 

  • United Nations (UN) and United Kingdom (UK) to co-host Global Climate Summit 2020.
  • The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Artemis program, which plans to send the next man and first woman to the lunar surface by the year 2024.
  • Winners of the Nobel Prize for 2020 to get $1,10,000. The value fluctuates over time.
  • Google Maps will soon start showing COVID-19 outbreaks. The Map will be known as "COVID Layer".
  • India & Nepal launched website-- "www.goicbrinepal.com" for post-earthquake reconstruction projects in Education Sector.

  • RBI released Cyber Security Vision Framework  ‘Technology Vision for Cyber Security’ for Urban Co-operative Banks (UCBs) from 2020 to 2023.
  • SBICAP Trustee Company acquired 56.17% stake in Jindal Stainless (JSL).
  • The Government extended term of Uday Kotak as Non-Executive Chairman of debt- ridden Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) by one year. 
  • Google Pay started Tokenisation to provide safe and secure transactions through Debit and Credit cards.
  • Tech Mahindra sold its stake in US-based Altioster Networks for $45 million.
  • IDFC First Bank to launch contactless payment facility "SafePay" to do transactions up to Rs. 20,000.
  • Adani-GVK airport deal gets Competition Commission of India (CCI) green signal.

  • Malayalam poet Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri conferred the 55th edition of the Jnanpith Award.
  • Kerala Tourism’s campaign ‘Human by Nature’ won the prestigious PATA (Pacific- Asia Travel Association) Grand Award 2020.
  • 1st ever "India Happiness Report" released, Mizoram topped the list.
  • The 51st Edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI)  to be held in Goa next year.
