• Odisha Government launched "GARIMA" welfare scheme for sanitation workers to ensure their safety and dignity.

• Parliamentary Panel on Law and Justice said Let Virtual Courts to stay.

• Odisha Government signed MoU with National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC) for promotion and Management of Farmer Producer Organisation.

• Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched the Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework (CSCAF) 2.0, along with the ‘Streets for People Challenge’ under the Smart Cities Mission.

 

• Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) directed Serum Institute of India (SII)

• Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched ‘YSR Aasara’ to “empower women economically and socially”.

• Jammu & Kashmir, LG Manoj Sinha launched a Grievance Redressal System called CPGRAMS (Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System).

• Centre constituted an Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM), for the corporatization of Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

• India's first Coronavirus airport testing facility launched in Delhi at T-3.

• Road and Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari approved proposal to construct Munger-Bhagalpur-Tirpety-Kahalgaon concrete road on NH80 in Bihar.

• State Bank of India modernized payments infrastructure with ACI Worldwide Technology.

• 10.4% Contraction in July Factory Output: IIP (Index of Industrial Production) National Statistical Office (NSO) reported.

• Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has imposed some limits on multi-cap funds, now multi  cap fund will be required to invest a minimum of 75% of total assets in equities from 65% earlier.

• The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) increased Deposit Linked benefits to up to Rs. 7 lakh from Rs. 6 lakh.

• The Union Cabinet approved Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) through Automatic approval in Defence Sector to 74% from 49%.
