  • 10.4% Contraction in July Factory Output: IIP (Index of Industrial Production) National Statistical Office (NSO) reported.


  • Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has imposed some limits on multi-cap funds, now multi  cap fund will be required to invest a minimum of 75% of total assets in equities from 65% earlier.


  • The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) increased Deposit Linked benefits to up to Rs. 7 lakh from Rs. 6 lakh.


  • The Union Cabinet approved Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) through Automatic approval in Defence Sector to 74% from 49%.
